These mountains are covered with snow for most of the year. The main road in this valley is the only important road in the northern areas of Dir that connects the people of these areas to the plains of the country. This area is 11500 feet above the sea level at the foot of the mountains.
Located at the foothills of the mountains, this valley is undeniably beautiful and waiting to be discovered. It is an interesting and fascinating place for common people to mountaineers. There are dense forests and waterfalls.
To reach Banda, the ship will depart from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Mardan and then late, then on the way you will pass through the scenic areas of Sheringal, Patrak, Brikot, Beyar and Kalkot. The local language here is Gauri which is becoming extinct now. For Ship Banda you have to go to the gate on the right before Thal which is locally known as Daranot. If you go straight on the same path, you will come to Thal, from where the path leads to Kumrat Valley, whose streams and humming waterfalls are also a treasure of nature.
After the gate, the first village one will come to after traveling through a rocky and difficult path is called Lamuti which is called “Kinolam” in the local language. The people of “Lamuti” are called “Kenur” in the local language. “Lam” means village, thus Kulam means the people of Kannur.
There is another way to reach Lamuti which is from Mardan via Kalam to Bad Goi Top and from here tourists come to Lamuti. The highlights of Madin, Bahrain visit on this route is to see the glacier near the road at Badgoi which can be seen in the distance at Kumrat and Jhajn Banda.
The Lamuti area is full of dense forests. It is said that the forests in Deer Kohistan are the most abundant here. There are two routes from Lamuti, one route leads directly to Badgoi Top. If the ship will travel straight to Banda, it will pass by a small village, say Mutual Mohalla.
About a hundred families are settled here. Beyond this, after a few kilometers of travel, Jindrai village comes. It is the last village in terms of regular population in the area and the vehicle journey takes up to here. The Kohistani language is spoken throughout this region. Most live as Kohistanis, but there is also a significant number of Gujjars. The livelihood of the people of Jandrai is agriculture and farming. In summer, ships carrying goods and cattle go to Banda and return in winter when it snows.

 The red potatoes of this region are particularly famous. Cabbage, turnips, and salad leaves are commonly cultivated. And the important thing is that the local people also have the passion to try new experiences and want the development of their area, they just need resources and guidance from the state which is the responsibility of the state.
The area around Jindrai and Jajal Banda is also famous for the world’s finest and rare herbs. Research has also been done on the herbs here in Sheringal University, 5000 samples were collected from here for research, but the quality and level of research that should be done has not been done.
The journey ahead is on foot but very beautiful, charming, beautiful and captivating. On the way there is a tough climb called Airbi, after one and a half to two hours walk you will come to a lush green place called Airbi Banda and these are breathtakingly beautiful stops on this journey.

Beyond the charm and beauty of Jajal Banda, six kilometers away lies Katura Lake, locally known as “Gan Sir”. On the way to Katura Lake there are several beautiful waterfalls worth visiting along with Dhandbanda, Tora Lake and small lakes along with the big falls Danu Pushkir, Konar and Kaar. “Katurajheel” , like a round bowl, is a unique lake in the world.
