Where we cry about the lack of facilities, we also do some duty as tourists. There are manners in entertaining, if these rules are not followed, one mistake can become a lifelong disease.
It is always talked about that tourists have very few facilities, but no one talks about what are the duties of tourists at entertainment centers and tourist places.
The weather has become pleasant in Pakistan at this time due to rains and summer vacations, people are now visiting tourist places.
Pakistan has high mountains, sandy deserts, long beaches and rivers. So tourists have many options of where to go for entertainment.
Where we cry about the lack of facilities, we also do some duty as tourists. There are manners in entertaining, if these rules are not followed, one mistake can become a lifelong disease.
Most tourists visit the rivers and the sea. This is where most tragedies and accidents occur. In our country there is no tradition of learning to swim, but nevertheless it is necessary to take a dip in the water.
This is why people drown. In the absence of lifeguards, other people drown while trying to save them. Never swim in a dam, it is very deep. In rivers, streams, waterfalls, waterfalls, there are still chances of escape, but in a dam, this chance becomes zero.
There should be a ban on bathing in all the dams in the country. Some time ago, a boat caught fire in Khanpur Dam, in which a woman was burnt to death.
The dams are by no means entertainment venues, swimming, water sports and boating are a treat here.
Don’t pollute the ocean. Throw garbage in dustbins and don’t vandalize tourist spots. Do not harm aquatic life or fish illegally.
Avoid swimming and water sports without wearing a life jacket. Where expert swimmers and rescue teams are present you can do sightseeing and water sports or else have a picnic, eat and come back.
Recently, a video went viral in which a doctor was reviving a child’s breathing. The child was drowned in the water of the river. The child’s life was saved because of the doctor.
Here the debate arose as to how important first aid is and why there are no rescue teams at tourist destinations.
The child was lucky that doctors were there and his life was saved. But tourists should also be careful not to engage in activities that may harm them.
Dr. Osama Javed is the registrar of the accident department of a well-known hospital in Islamabad.
Dr. Shahrabano, who is a doctor in the accident department, says that there are many cases where there is a fracture in the hand or arm, in some cases people reach the hospital due to electrocution or drowning.
Many tragedies can be reduced if the public is trained in first aid. Along with this, the public should also read and follow the instructions on the boards at entertainment centers and tourist spots.
Some tourists visit the mountains for recreation and enjoy picnics by cooking or barbecuing and making tea. Often forest fires are caused by the mistake of tourists, causing damage to wildlife and trees.
Most of the fires are caused by the throw of burning cigarettes. Many tourists leave their garbage there after a picnic. Which spreads dirt and pollution. Consider the natural environment and customs of the area at recreational sites. Don’t go too far into the woods as you may lose your way.
In Islamabad there are trails on Margalla Hills where many people go astray. In this regard, Islamabad Police Public Relations Department says that the mountain range is connected with Islamabad and tourists come here from all over Pakistan.
We advise them to travel during the day and follow the signs. People get lost on the trails and the police find them and bring them back. Our teams are there to provide immediate rescue assistance to the public. Our cycle squad and horse riders are also present.
Tourists are often injured during recreation, falling, sustaining fractures, losing their way, or traffic accidents.
Many people now travel to Deosai and other national parks for sightseeing. If there is law and order in the country and the network of roads has been laid, travel to distant areas has become easy.
Follow the rules and regulations of the National Park, do not make noise, do not set fire, do not harm animals and plants. Hunting there is a crime so don’t make that mistake. Do not harass animals or try to hunt birds.
Avoid touching objects in archeology or museums and don’t wall chalk a place. It is very sad that people write their names on many tourist spots.
Until the tourists do not abide by the rules and regulations, the tourist spots will continue to suffer. If you go to the park, older people should not sit on children’s swings, as they can break.
While having fun, take care not to hurt yourself or hurt others. Do not damage the natural environment and flora and do not disturb the animals, water creatures and birds.
Wherever you go, be aware of the traditions and don’t take photos of the local people. Avoid unnecessary discussions.
Keep cash, water and dry ration with you, keep the car tank full of petrol and warm clothes if it is cold in mountainous areas.
Consider traffic laws and entertainment rules. Avoid driving in rain and fog and keep the speed limit low.
It’s vacation time, enjoy yourself, but don’t forget your duties as a tourist.
