Where this beautiful park has been built, there were not only encroachments in the number of hundreds, but the so-called big people had also allotted the land here in their names. Thus, the total area of the park was reduced from one hundred and thirty acres to only 56 acres. In this regard, the former governor of Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan expressed his great interest in the construction of the park and played an effective role in ending the encroachments and visited the park at different times and gave instructions to the concerned officers. Eliminated the obstacles in the construction with his personal efforts. It will not be without interest that the former governor of Sindh visited here 63 times during the construction of this Pak. Diplomats from more than forty countries of the world came to the park to see the construction work. Former President General Pervez Musharraf personally visited this park 3 times to inspect the works.
Along with the elimination of more than 450 encroachments, its construction work was also continued and 24-hour work was done here for speedy completion. The stone work throughout the garden is in keeping with the design and color of the ancient kothari parade.
In the park, large areas of grass were made on both sides, and seats were placed on the edges. The total number of these seats (3000) is three thousand. In addition, 20 stone canopies (umbrellas) in Bagh Ibn Qasim also present a charming scene. 1500 electric lamps, 24 light towers and arena lights were also brought in the whole garden for reasonable lighting at night, which gives the whole garden a day scene at night. In Bagh Ibn Qasim, cleanliness has also been taken care of, 3000 dustbins have been installed in the entire garden.
Pakistan’s largest coastal amusement park, Bagh Ibn Qasim, has an amusement park built on an area of two acres for the entertainment of children, with modern and safe swings and other facilities. 9000 Corona Corpus trees and 3000 Euphorbia plants were planted in Bagh Ibn Qasim to keep the natural environment clean and pollution free on a permanent basis. Arrangements of seasonal flowers are made for spring. To enhance the splendor of this park, bougainvillea plants which are more than 50 years old were planted from Thailand.
There are also many trees that have been grafted and now one tree gives flowers of many colors. Featuring a variety of imported plants carved into the shape of various animals, the park is irrigated with treated sewage water that does not affect the city’s fresh water supply. Ramps are provided for senior citizens and people who are not able to walk much. There are 24 bathrooms with 18 wash basins, hand dryers and sanitaries imported from China.
In Bagh Ibn Qasim, two large mosques, an ancient temple and the shrine of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi are a source of satisfaction for the visiting citizens and there is a complete facility of worship according to their respective religions. A beautiful wall has been built around Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s mausoleum by eliminating encroachments. While the construction of the mausoleum is in progress with the support of Bahria Town, the cost of which is estimated at 50 crore rupees. The park has been in use since 1960. There is also a constructed fish house where different types of sea creatures are kept in glass jars.
Since the construction of the park, this fish house was closed due to lack of renovation, but now it was decided to construct this fish house immediately. Here, the glitter of lights, swaying trees, carpet-like greenery, the beautiful iron gate, the best washroom, the well-decorated paths, the fragrant flowers, the budding buds welcome every visitor and one is in awe of seeing this garden. Says “Subhaan Allah”.
